Technical Product Owner

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Product Owner to join our team and be deployed on-site with a key banking client in Riyadh. This role requires a technically adept professional who will act as a pivotal liaison between the bank, a third-party software vendor, and Mastercard. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of the banking platform, with an emphasis on Red Hat OpenShift and modern DevOps practices.

What you’ll do

• Serve as the primary technical owner of the banking software platform.
• Act as the main liaison between the bank, the third-party software provider, and Mastercard.
• Investigate optional and add-on fees such as tokenization, 3DSecure, fraud tools, gateway charges, and alerts.
• Provide on-site Level 1 technical support, with the goal of expanding to Level 2.
• Investigate and resolve platform incidents and manage bug tracking and resolution.
• Proactively monitor platform performance and ensure system availability.
• Configure the platform and manage its technical architecture in line with the bank’s infrastructure and security standards.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
• Collaborate with the client to define and document new use cases and functional requirements.
• Collaborate with Finance and Commercial teams to review pricing agreements, rebates, and discount terms.
• Support the deployment of new features, patches, and updates within the bank's environment.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Banking.
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) – Mandatory.
• Deep understanding of core banking systems or financial services platforms.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Nexus.
• Strong background in containerization and cloud-based deployments.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and Oracle, including performance tuning and data analysis.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex system incidents.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working knowledge of JavaScript is a plus.
• Experience in a client-facing or consulting role.
• Familiarity with payment gateway and transaction processing integrations.
